Visiting Parents is it okay to do in their house?

Ok, I'm not sure if it's disrespectful or it's ok it's not like they are in the same room but it is their home what do you lady's think? Is PDA even ok? I just want to do this right, Help!

The first time visiting my family after moving to Washington, they all got super offended when my wife and I we're play fighting and kissing in the pool. We were told to "tone it down" and that it was disrespectful for us to make out in front of the kids in the pool. 
Which was funny because we only kissed twice, not even close to making out, and we weren't as snuggly as normal because we were too busy trying to dunk each other in the water.

As far as sex goes, we totally get it on every time we visit, but were also very discreet about it, so no ones ever noticed.

I think it depends on the family, my SO's parents house we have no issues having sex there. We dated in college and were long distance during school breaks we got very used to it. My moms is a totally different story, she asked me to not have sex in her house when I became sexually active at 16 and I respect that.

As for PDA, we show affection but are respectful, we'll hug or he'll put his arm around me and little kisses and hand holding are ok but we wouldn't make out or be too entangled in front of either family.

It kinda depends on how old you are. I'm 23 and I've been dating the same guy for 3 years. My mom is totally okay with PDA and has even hinted about marriage and babies. We've had sex at her house before. Although we were sure to be quiet, my moms not an idiot, which is what led to the whole marriage conversation. Idk.. I guess as muh as it depends on age, it also depends on your parents and how they feel about it.

PDA is more than okay and as for doing it in the house in the room your staying I'd go for it as long as you aren't too loud so they stay up.
