My body froze ?

Question

During the night and this morning my body froze a couple of times where i couldnt move a single muscle i could only breath a little which was hard to do ... Does anyone know what this could be and has it happened to you or anyone you know ?

Sleep paralysis I've has it before wasn't a nice experience I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't move so I tried to shout my mum and couldn't speak either! It was really strange felt like it lasted ages but probably was about 2 min, some say it's a spiritual experience and some say it's where you brain wakes before your body does either way not very nice! Nothing to worry about x

Happens to me all the time, Its scary! I figured out it helps to sleep on my side. It only happens when I sleep on my back

Sleep paralysis. Happens to me when I'm overly tired or stressed. Swear every time it happens there just happens to be a noise in my house and I just know the killer is gonna get me. Lol.

I learned about this is anatomy. Its because you woke up before your body was ready to wake up. So your body is still asleep but you arent.

I hate when this happens to me. And sometimes I try to move so hard that my face starts like twitching its. Weird. Don't forget to look up a suckybus while your at it ?

I get like this when I have bad nightmares. Very rarely does it happen, but when it does, it sucks!! I was overtired when these nights happened.

Our bodies naturally fall into this state while sleeping - it's to keep us from hurting ourselves while unconscious.  Sometimes this natural state of being will follow us into wakefulness, and that can be frightening.  It's related to waking dreams and can be caused by depression or stress, a physical ailment or sometimes an actual sleep disorder.  I suffer from waking dreams and occasional sleep paralysis, and if I pay attention I can tell that it happens more often if I'm stressed out about something in my life.

I have sleep paralysis, too.. It is very scary. I know I'm not sleeping but cannot wake up...I can't talk or move when this happens. I notice it happens the most when I'm overly tired.
