I was talking to my man tonight and we're not married and don't really plan on it; I don't want my kids to have a different last name then me, but then I understand the 'male carrying on the last name' thing. So I said if we have a boy he'll have his last name, a girl will have mine. At first he was blown away, and said 'no my kids will have my last name' then I asked him how that's fair to me, he understood now he's pondering the idea. (he's an over thinker & it's a new idea) just thought it was an interesting conversation.. What are your thoughts. If we ever did marry, I'd change my last name and our child's.
