How many cycles of clomid before moving onto IUI?

My doctors suggesting two cycles of clomid and then IUI for the third cycle which seems a little soon to me, especially when the clomid is working.

It all depends on your situation and dr. I had my first appt with an infertility specialist and he started me on clomid and plans on doing iui the first cycle

With my situation (male factor and endometriosis), IUI was recommended first. I tried it unmedicated once due to fear of the drugs, and the two IUIs so far after that have been on Femara.
