I have been taking venlafexine (effexor) for 3 months and have been put on a tapering regime by my dr. The medicine is safe during pregnancy but can cause your newborn to have withdraws and is not safe to breastfeed on. Me and my husband decided it wasn't worth taking during pregnancy so I started the tapering process.. so far the withdrawals from the medicine are very hard to cope with. I've experienced; body aches, migranes, dizziness, brain zaps, anxiety, crying spells and a crazy "out of body feeling". I'm praying they won't last much longer because I would love to be withdrawal free by the time we conceive. Anyone going through similar circumstances or have any clue how long this will last?! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
