Birth Control and Intense Period Cramps

Mary • Wed, Nov 19 • Hi! I`m Mary. I have a BA in Psychology. Been dealing with PCOS for 22 years. I work at Sander’s Candy and Ice Cream Shop and trying to get my head around this COVID craziness!

Is it possible that one can get serious cramping from your period as a result of being on birth control? I told the doctor about how I hardly ever had cramps with my period before getting on birth control and just two months into the process I get debilitating cramps. Seriously I could feel my abdominals spasming so hard this last time it hurt all the way up to my chest.

Will these side effects decrease with time or did I get way more than I bargained for?

If they don't is there any other way of going on another type of birth control that would regulate my period and clean up my complexion? Currently I'm on one called Lo Loestrin Fe.
