My partner and I are looking to start the whole kids thing in 2017, which sounds aaaaages away to me and right around the corner to her!

I am bisexual. I have 2 children from a previous relationship that my partner and I are raising. My partner, who has not conceived, it attempting to become pregnant. We are struggling to decide how to conceive within our budget. So we do not  have a lot amount of money to buy donor sperm from a bank. Interested in talking to female couples exploring options of contraception.

My wife and i are TTC baby #1 by AI using a known donor. Not as easy as it seems though.

My wife and I tried via frozen donor IUIs at home (with midwife) for 5 cycles over about a year. No dice. Frozen is challenging and I'm 37, so my fertile window is short each month. So rather than continuing to throw money away feeling at the mercy of tracking signs that were not very clear, we opted for IVF because all my labs and hormones suggested no problems - it was simply a matter of age + frozen = really hard to conceive. IVF was expensive but it took on the first try. I highly recommend the lez conception book - Stephanie Brill 2006.
