Closed Vagina?

Soo, I've never had problems with sex, tampons, applicators, etc but all of the sudden for the past month I can't seem to get anything up there. My husband and I can have sex but it can get quite uncomfortable at times, especially from behind. Tampons and applicators (like the ones for progesterone supplements and preseed) are near impossible and just hurt. It's like there is a wall blocking it. What is going on? Has anyone experienced this before?
