Due date different by 2 weeks?!

I see girls saying they think they are 7weeks by their LMP but get an ultrasound and are only 5 weeks? Would love to know how that happened?

I thought I was 8 weeks 2 days and my doctors appointment, I was actually measuring 6 weeks 6 days. I have long cycles and irregular periods. Also length of period is very long. So, ovulation was later than I thought. It happens lol. Quite common actually. Can change quite a few times. My old friend, her dates changed three times.

Dr's count from when the first day of your last period was.  They can't pinpoint exactly when you concieved that month.  So yes alot of women's due dates get changed after they have a ultrasound done later....

Docs calculated I was 12 weeks and when I went for my scan I was actually only 9 weeks. 21 weeks now and baby is perfect, it's just because I had just come off the pill so had irregular periods

I've actually read that a lot on here and kind of experienced it myself. According to glow I was 6w something days and when I went to dr I was 5 weeks on the dot. It's not uncommon
