Cold Season! ??

Question

Has anyone else gotten a cold?! I've been sick the last few days. Haven't taken anything but Tylenol. I talked to my nurse and 2 pharmacist and they all told me a complete different stories on meds I can/can't take to feel better. I was so frustrated I broke down in the middle of the grocery store. I've just been putting up with the symptoms and taking Tylenol occasionally. I'm 10 weeks tomorrow. ??

Me! I have been suffering day by day, using nothing but vapor rub and a netie pot. To me, medicating myself is not worth the risk, as I am in the 1st trimester.

I have a cold and bought the Netti Pot from Walmart. I didn't think I would like it but it worked wonders!

Look up drugs you would normally take online and search pregnancy category. If it's a B I would say go for it. The drug website itself would have it and FDA should have it. I took Benadryl at 7 wks and it's a B

I am going to be 10 weeks tomorrow too and woke up with a cold over a week ago and still dealing with symptoms. Worst cold I've ever had..my ob nurse said I could take plain sudafed but pharmacist told my husband not to take anything. I was feeling miserable so I took it anyways. Only as long as I needed it and I'm so glad I did. I also took it with my first and she is just fine ;)

I've had a cold for a week. Blech. I was waking up all night with clogged sinuses, so I called my OB nurse. She said only Mucinex and Tylenol were recommended during first trimester. Suggested I vastly increase warm fluid consumption and do the nasal steam bath thing (hot water in a bowl and breathe it in). Menthol cough drops and vapo-rub also ok. I hate being sick, and I always need Sudafed to get over sinus congestion, so this has been rough.
