Anyone else suffer from hidradenitis suppurativa
It's an extremely embarrassing and can be painful condition. I've been avoiding the doctor like the plague in fear of the worst: herpes. Although it never really matched the description of herpes. We are taught to think anything weird "down there" should be feared. We are expecting a little in June so I was forced to get a pap and the doctor told me I had hidradenitis suppurativa. Basically a skin condition that cause boil breakouts on sensitive parts of your body. Thighs, armpits and the most embarrassing of all your genitals. I'm super embarrassed but relieved it's not contagious or an std. Causes are kinda unknown but it's not due to poor hygiene. The doctor said mine is most likely hormone induced especially since my acne has run rampant in this pregnancy. Any other mommies or soon to be mommies have this as well?
