Me and this guy have been talking since september and we really like eachother (or I think). Last night I flat out asked him are we goung to be in a relationship because the school year is ending and we'll be leaving for break. He sounded hesitant, but said yeah when I first asked. Then later we talked some more and he told me I wasnt ready and began making up these excuses. I think I was only around so he wouldnt be lonely in the winter. What do I do??

Find someone who cares about you and will treat you with respect. Don't waste your time with him.

Stop talking to him. You want a relationship and he doesn't find someone that does. If you've had a healthy friendship he'll miss you and might change his mind to keep you in his life. 
If he doesn't you'll know where u stand and you can move on

Tell him that since the two of you don't see eye to eye and you aren't the sort of girl to be lead on that you guys shouldn't see each other anymore. You want to send a message that you are strong and not desperate for his attention. If he really likes you he'll make the effort if not then you know where you stand and can find someone that does want to be with you.

I was in the same situation before. It really sucked. It went on for almost 2 years. And that's when I had it and wasn't gunna degrade myself by playing by his terms. I left and started hanging out with someone new. He then wou km from always text me. Telling Me He Wanted A Relationship AND THAT It Would Be Better Then Before. I actually then never went back to him then. And the guy I started hanging with, we actually are dating, and have been for the past 5 months and he is so much more mature then the other one. But as I learned u should cut ur contact off with him or give him an ultimatum.  In that time of not talking after cutting contact he could realize he does want to be with you. And that your not just going to wait on him. And maybe in that time you'll find someone better!

I'm in the same boat! Literally the same. It really stinks that guys do this (even though some women do too). Maybe just try to occupy your time on other things so that it will be easier to stop seeing him after a while. That's sort of what I'm trying to do. I really like this guy but I look for people who won't just mess with my emotions.

I was in the same situation a few years back. The guy I was seeing but not dating just got out of a crappy relationship so we never put a label on us hanging out or whatever. Everyone told me he was using me an to cut him lose an not to waste my time. Well about 5months after talking & hanging out everyday he finally asked me out. He just needed to make sure he was ready for a commitment again. I left for basic training for 6months. When I came back he proposed. Clearly he wasn't just using me. We are now happily married n expecting our first in May. All I'm saying is just cause he is hesitant on a relationship doesn't make him a bad guy. There's stuff you probably don't know. Just saying if you think he's worth the wait then wait it out
