Sporting/bleeding after sex

Hi all! I'm 8 weeks pregnant with my first baby. After having sex with my husband this morning, I noticed when I cleaned myself that I was spotting, pink red-ish but not bright red or no constant flow of blood. I don't have any cramps either. I called my doctors office and they said its normal and that I should be fine as long as I don't have any bright red bleeding. Since I'm out of state in vacation I can't go to the office to be seen. I'm so nervous and afraid right now. Can u guys let me know if this is normal, if any of u have experienced this! Thanks and sorry for being so explicit.. :(
