Cystic Hygroma
I am 11 weeks pregnant and just had an ultrasound a couple days ago and was told my baby has cystic hygroma. According to my dr the prognosis is not good. She is suspicious of turners syndrome and thinks the baby will pass away on its own. If it does not she recommends that I terminate the pregnancy. The baby seems to be measuring a week behind schedule. I am crushed. I go back in a couple weeks for another ultrasound to see if the heart is still beating. By then my bloodwork should be back and we will know if it's a chromosome abnormality or not. Has anyone experienced this?? It is such a painful process. Any stories or advice would be helpful. Thanks!
