Do you have varicose or spider veins?

I am only 25 and am starting to get spider veins. Is this common?? If you lose weight, do they stop happening?

I have vericose veins in the back of my knees and a few spider veins. I am 5'5" and weigh 113 lbs. I am only 19.!

They are caused by constantly being on your feet and straining you legs losing weight might help a little but to make then stop id suggest not being on your feet as much as you are and they make creams to make them less noticeable

I have varicose veins. Its hereditary. If it gets painful you can just go get them collapsed or laser surgery. (I'd get laser but you can also go surgical).

I started to get them when I started on fertility mess last year. They can be worsened by crossing your legs but they're largely hereditary so don't blame yourself. I recently went to a specialist and they said not high impact activities (e.g. running), walking is great but don't stand for long periods (the blood pools) and wear compression stockings when you can. You might also want to take baby aspirin daily to reduce your risk for clots and a flavonoids supplement which can help strengthen your veins. Varicose veins happen when the valves in your veins weaken letting blood flow in 2 directions instead of 1 (back to your heart). This causes a pooling of blood in your legs which is what causes pain and bruising/enlarged veins. There's a treatment called veneseal where they basically inject a biologically friendly superglue into the vein to close it off. The treatment is quite expensive but it will prevent the problem from getting worse because one faulty vein causes added pressure on your other veins which can lead them to become faulty too. You don't need to worry about losing a vein from a circulation perspective because there are plenty of other veins to compensate.

I have them too. I'm a nurse so I'm on my feet a lot and that's why im sure I have them. They can also be hereditary. You can go to a vascular surgeon and have them injected but I heard that's painful.
