Slight issue tmi

It just started today. I'm 6 weeks... have slight brown discharge/red. Covers just a bit of a light tampon. I have no pains with this. Called my doctor. . Closed for weekends but was on call. . Said everything is good if it's not associated with pain like period symptoms. I looked it up and apparently it's common. Freaking out cause my first appt is wed. Anyone else had this? Did it turn out fine and normal?
