Trying to conceive but how long will it possibly take ?

I got off the depo shot in June 2014  . My doctor says that I can get pregnant within the first six months. My cycles was every 14 days then went to 17 days, but my last cycle didn't come until day 46. I want another baby, but I'm thinking it may take longer then the first six months. I will never get on the depo shot again.
