It's not limited to men saying these things. Women say those things about women too. I hate when people are generalized.

I've never been the type to say all men are the same, I actually stand up for them when those insinuations arise. My husbands ex-roommate and I got into it one evening because he made the statement that all women were the same when it came to being in competition with one another. That we're all insecure of ourselves and try to out do the beauty of another. I became livid and I told him when I was in highschool, I had beautiful girlfriends and we were never in competition at all with one another. We praised each other and encouraged one another to be the best we could possibly be. I'm looked at as odd by him because I compliment if a female is pretty instead of bashing her. That's sad.
