Relationship advice

Me and my boyfriend have been together for quit sometime and he gets really butt hurt when I have friends like he accuses me of cheating on him and I just don't get it because he knows I love him and I don't understand? Is he the jealous type? I just wish I could understand but he doesn't allow me to talk to other guys but yet he'll text his girl friend I front of me but she had a boyfriend but is that fair? He's aloud to have friends but I'm not?
