One of my friends went really early with her first, so with her second she had a cerclage. She didn't have any issues with it and all went well :)

I have not personally but I'm a doula and its basically stitches in your cervix that are taken out near the end of pregnancy. It is very successful. The only thing is that it is necessary to have it removed before you go into labor. If there is no way they can stop delivery the cerclage must be remove d or it can cause damage to baby's brain.
