No period

Today is the day I am suppose to start my period. But I am not sure I will start. My last depo shot was due on September, and I never went in to get it because I was tired of the weight gain. I had a period in September and then didn't have one for about 53 days. That was 28"days ago. My period should be starting today.....should I trust that it will start? Or is it going to be all messed up? Could going off depo cause that? I was on it for 6 months...I only took 2 shots...
