How far along should the baby shower be thrown?

My aunt is the one planning it, and I have no idea when exactly it is going to be, all I know is it's going to be a month before I have my baby. Is that cutting it too close? I feel like it is

We're having ours at. 25 weeks only because we are dual military and going home for the holiday our family usually does it at 8 months

It is up to you. If you feel like it is too close then have it earlier.

I had my family one at 28 weeks, we just wanted to do it before the holidays. I'm having a work one at 34 weeks. I think earlier is better gives you a better idea of what you're going to still need to purchase and allows you to get the nursery more set up.

6-8 weeks would be better. If she's going to be that controlling is there someone else who can throw your shower?

It's normally thrown in your third trimester but before week 38 so you have time to get everything is order before baby:)
