Text language

I've often come on here and thought about giving advice if I can . After reading some of people's problems with all the shortened ways of words to make it more efficient for the poster ,and to make it quicker to read I often feel it's like trying to decipher a secret language ! . I know that's the way of the Internet etc in this day and age but Jesus Christ I read about a sentence then I'm lost ! anyone else feel the same way because I give up trying .
