Quick question about staying put after intercourse

This might be a dumb question for many but I don't who else to ask so trying my luck here. After intercourse I usually hold the cemen in with a toilet paper and stay put for 15-20 mins. However I am wondering if that decreases my chances of getting pregnant since I read somewhere that the cemen is suppose to run out cuz sperm can not swim too long in it.
