Daycare?

Question

When is a good age or earliest you can put your child in daycare? I want to get a job a couple months after the baby is here but don't know when I could put her in daycare.

I was lucky to have my mother in-law to take care of my first son for the first several months. This time around, we'll be putting our littlest one in daycare at 6 weeks. I'm still a little nervous about a teeny baby being in daycare, however I work 5 minutes away, so I'll be able to go over on my lunch to nurse and check in. 
Daycare is expensive. If possible, try to find a friend or neighbor to help out (usually that's less expensive.)

My friends have enrolled their babies as soon as their maternity leave is up(6weeks). I have stayed home, because it's about $400 a week. But that all depends on the programs you choose too.

Yep, a lot of places will take them as early as 6 weeks....when you do it is totally up to you, and how soon you need to start working

She can be placed in day care as early as a few months old. I think 6-9 weeks is the youngest.
