Do I have the right to feel weird about this?

My boyfriend and I have been dating abt 6 months. For the past 4 or 5, I've basically lived at his apartment. I go to my own apt once a week and spend the night there. The rest of the time is spent at school, work, then my boyfriend's 6 of the 7 nights. (For reference, he wants me over this often and is surprised if I don't come over.)
Because of this, I've had a lot of my clothes in plastic grocery bags on his floor, bc to drive all the way to my apt every night after work just to get underwear or a clean shirt is a bit ridiculous. I don't wash my clothes at his place, I do laundry once a week at my apt. So it's been like this for basically 4 or more months now. Today I asked him if I could place a small plastic 3-drawer vertical storage thing tucked away in his closet so I could get my clothes off his floor, instead of having them there in bags making a mess. He vetoed it and said no, because that would make it feel like I was moving in... For some reason, this made me feel kind of weird and disappointed. I definitely don't want to move in, but if I'm going to be over there so much, having your clothes in plastic bags all over the floor is shitty.
