Hemorrhoids

I've always had a problem with hemorrhoids and even had surgery last year to remove one. I'm 29 weeks and having a really difficult time with external hemorrhoids. My doctor gave me a prescription and it has not helped at all. Anyone having the same problems/know of any sure ways to help it go away? I'm nervous child birth will make it even worse and I'm getting close to it.
