Acne: picking

I have battled with picking at my skin for so long because I have very deep acne nodules. I have tried everything to stop picking, but nothing seems to make them go away either. Dermatologists are useless, my next step was to try really intense healthy eating. But any other tips to getting rid of these huge acne nodules would be great!
