Struggling to hold it in?!?

I should be 5 weeks in 2 days &  Christmas day I'll be 8 weeks. I'm finding it so hard to wait til then to tell my parents & siblings. I think part of me is afraid not to tell & then something happen. Is anyone else in this same situation?? Have you told or are you still holding it in?

We told my parents as soon as we found out as I MC before and my DH works away so needed my parents there when it happened and would want them to know if it happened again as they were a great comfort. I'm 6w5 and have told my best friend. Going to tell another close friend on thurs cos the lying about why I can't do things and amnt drinking is not helping with the crazy emotions I have just now and I see her every week so if anything did go wrong I'd prob tell her. Planning to tell my bro after our 8wk scan and rest of family at Xmas because it will be obv when I don't drink. It's completely down to you when you tell. Just remember that things can go wrong and before you tell someone ask yourself if it's someone you would be happy to know or who would offer you comfort if the worst does happen. Congratulations and I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy with a beautiful baby at the end of it all!

We wanted to wait until Christmas to tell everyone but I just can't hold it in anymore so we are telling our families this weekend. I will be 11 weeks!

Im 4 weeks today found out yesterday we have told close family did want to leave it till xmas but im crap at keeping secrets lol

I am telling my mom on 12/13, I will be around 6w 6d.  Since she lives in PR and I don't see her often I want to just go ahead and tell her while she's here that weekend.  Her being the most important woman in my life I think no matter what happens she HAS to know.  As for FB announcement, I'll wait until the Second Trimester.

Like a lot of people have told me, it's always good to have someone to support you since the beginning and there's just no better support system than your family.

Honestly, just go with your gut on this one.

I'm the same. Got my bfp and worked out I must be about 5 wks. I've not yet seen my dr and probably jumping the gun, but wanna tell my family at xmas. Am surprising my mum by going home (not been back for 5 yrs) so was gonna add another surprise :)

I told my sister last night (I'm very early, 4wks 2d) and plan to tell the rest of my family for Christmas. (Told my sis because she's struggling with infertility & I didn't want to overwhelm her at Christmas) I'll be 7 weeks at Christmas. I hope I can get an ultrasound pic to give everyone ☺️

We told both immediate families at 5 weeks. We also told a couple of close friends. If anything bad happens we will be supported by these but hopefully all will go well. We will tell the world at 12 weeks!!

I'm 8 weeks now and although I WANT TO TELL THE WORLD I kinda like it being me and my husband's little secret. I will be 11.2 days at Christmas so we gonna tell parents then. Can't wait. Have an early pregnancy scan booked for Thursday so hopefully fingers crossed if all goes well I will have a scan picture to show them too x

It's completely your choice everyone is different. I have friends who announced as soon as they got their bfp and another friend who didn't announce until she was 21 weeks! I told close family after our early scan at 7 weeks and everyone else after 12 week scan.
