Wow, $20,000! I'm jealous! I had to pay off $110,000 for college and masters. My hubby has about the same amount to pay. Too bad people who try to get ahead in life with education end up paying so much for it.

It depends on what you plan to do. I went for engineering which is one of the highest paying positions out of college and was 16k in debt at the end of my degree. Got a great job a month out of college and paid it all back and bought a house in 6 months. If you go for something like communications where thousands of people graduate  with the same degree you need a way to stand out.

Bc in our society education is extremely important. Most jobs that pay over 10 bucks an hour require a college degree. Not to mention college is as much about the experience as it is education. You learn who you really are in those years, you get to try new things and make life long friends all while discovering what you love to do.

$20,000 that's cheap. I have $26,000 and that was only for two years. I did the first two at a community college and paid cash for that because it was way cheaper. And I did it because it opens doors for a good career. I didn't want to be stuck in retail forever.

Lol doesn't seem worth it. I'm watching 2 past friends go through college and they are acting like idiots. They're always drunk, don't have jobs, and have sex constantly. They're going to college on their parents dime and its so infuriating for me to witness

So we can better ourselves and our futures. Idk about you, but I wouldn't want to have 3 jobs like I did in college. Also, 20k wouldn't even get you a bachelors now. I paid for spring/summer classes for undergrad and of course had loans. Grad school more loans. Total was over $60k, but I paid for what I could and owe $30k now. It's well worth it.
