well my story starts out with two miscarriages that were very painful but then i got pregnant in april of this year (2014) and everything was going great! baby was healthy, we had a name picked out, baby shower planned. and then my whole body started to swell like a balloon. i had gained 25 pounds in a month! i went to my doc and they made me do a 24 hour urine and it came back that i had severe preeclampsia. i was transported from my hometown to the capital city, where there were better hospitals and docs. I was admitted on a friday and after a lot of monitoring, i was told my baby would have to be born or we would both die. there was no time to waste. my hubby didnt even have time to get there. i was so scared and the only thing i could do was cry and pray! my precious dixie was born 9/22/14 at 2:39pm, via emergency c-section. weighing 1pound, 3oz and 12.5 inches long. she was 15 weeks early. she is doing great now! still in the hospital but will get to come home soon hopefully. she now weighs 4 pounds, 9oz. she is my tough little girl and i wouldnt trade my experiences with her and as her mommy for anything. i?my princess!
