Thyroid possible reason for miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage (blighted ovum) last month. A friend of mine asked me if my thyroid had ever been checked because a low activity of the thyroid can apparently lead to miscarriages. Does anybody have any experience with that? Should I get my thyroid checked?

I had a mc and had my thyroid checked. It was normal but I had thyroid antibodies. A few months later my antibodies went out of whack and I had abnormal levels. So now I'm on synthroid. Still trying to get it adjusted.

My doctor checked my TSH levels about 6 weeks after I miscarried. If theres a problem they give you a pill to supplement your hormones when you're pregnant the next time around.
