When did you share your money situation with your SO?

At what point did you share the details with them? I was raised to not talk about money unless it's a business convo or immediate family but I hate that my SO doesn't let me pay for hardly anything even tho I have plenty of money (I work full time and have a trust fund). I wish he would understand that I'm more than capable of picking up the tab on things.

We have had shared money since 3 months into our relationship. The only time we've never shared money issues with each other was during our 4 month separation last year. I've never had a reason to "hide" money issuses from him.

The day I went to his house and saw three phone bills sitting unopened on the desk. I asked him the login to his bank account and paid all the bills.

I've managed both our finances ever since. We got a joint account after 4 yrs together to make my life easier.

But him paying for things his way of showing you that he can provide for you and makes him feel like a man, and like my mother raised my brothers it's the gentleman thing to do.
