Taking ovulation test as hpt test

My period is due friday all apps i have tell me i can take a preg test today or friday . Im feeling soo anxious last nite i read up on lh test vs hpt test was inconvlusive bt what i understood you only ovulate once a month and i have already this month so i took a test it came positive ! Does this mean i could be preg ? Or am i just being hopeful n getting myself excited ? Ps when took opk 14days ago it was positive i had sex on the day after n day after that . So fingers crossed prayers raised
