Which doctor do you see?

For years, my primary doctor has given me my female exams. He was a primary physician, but most of his life he delivered babies. He has retired, and i haven't been to a female doctor in a couple years. I want to talk about getting pregnant and see if im fertile, but I'm not sure what kind of doctor to look for. Answers and comments are appreciated :)  TTC 2 years.

Obgyn and Gynecology is a little different from each other . Obgyn stands for Obstetrics and Gynecology. Meaning they have a insurance to deliver babies and can help you find the best way to get pregnant and follow you through your process.  But just a Gynecologist doesn't have insurance to deliver babies they can diagnose you pregnant but can't do anything past that point for baby situation.  Most Gynecologist are retired Ob's they can do everything but the Baby part. They will send you to a obgyn if you are planning to get pregnant. So bottom line you should go see a obgyn if you want them to follow you through the process. Hope this helps you. :)

Since you are planning on TTC, make sure that the practice does obstetrics.

Yes you can go to an OB without being pregnant. OB (baby) GYN (gynecological) :)
