What kind of birth do you want?

I'd like an all natural birth in a birthing center. But as time goes by I'm getting nervous that something would happen. I know that the hospital is going to try and gibe me drugs, but I want to hear everyone's opinion.

Any kind of birth. I just want to get pregnant and have a healthy baby. How it comes out doesn't matter to me.

I did the water birth, it was pretty kicks except there was no place to brace my feet while I was pushy. The tub was too big even with both of us in it. Oh, and TMI, but the floaters, yes, it really happens.

Okay, my mom gave me the book Birth Without Violence when I was probably 10, and even though I wasn't sure I wanted children I knew that if I had them I wanted a natural birth in a birth center, quiet, calm, warm, dark and welcoming. I had it a year and a half ago. 5 and a half hours of labor, an hour and a half of pushing, not much pain or distress, little to no tearing, it was great. I'm not saying it's for everyone and I don't judge those who go the hospital/epidural route, they know what their body can handle and that's their choice. I left the birth center two hours after giving birth feeling as though I could do it all over again that night of I had to (not that I wanted to haha) and I went home, cuddled my husband and new son in my own bed and watched them sleep. It was amazing, so perfect. I hope to have the same experience with the next baby. Wishing you well on whatever you choose!

A water birth at a birthing center only cause water helps ease my cramps fast  when im on

They won't try to give you drugs unless you ask. For both my deliveries at two different hospitals, they respected my want to go natural and they never pushed it on me. I have been interested this time around to do a water birth, though. It looks so relaxing, but I'm a bit iffy if any poo comes out lol ?

For my first i han an epidural and honestly had an extremely comfortable labor. Ten hours and only 30 min of pushing. The epidural wore off before I had I push but i must say I will do it again!

I'd really like to have a water birth but they don't offer it anywhere near me. I know I could rent the tub you birth/labor in and have a doula come to your home, but I'd rather go to the hospital in case something goes wrong.

I'm going for an all natural birth again at a birth centre. I don't understand why hostipals (it seems to happen more in USA than here in UK) think labour should be done on a bed lied on back all wired up and drugged up. It isn't needed. If someone wants that then Fair dos but it seems crazy to me. I'm no hippy either just my views
