Any home remedies for a nagging cough?

I've had a nagging cough since Monday that has gotten worse and ended up in the ER for a nebulizer treatment last night. Right now I'm coughing hard enough that I feel like my ribs are going to snap. Delsym doesn't work. Mucinex isn't doing much either.

It's definitely coming from my chest, I can feel a wheeze/rattle when I cough sometimes. I've been drinking masala chai (indian spiced tea) with honey and my step mom has been making home made chicken soup with fenugreek

Depends on what kind of cough you have.

If it's from your throat, mix a tlbs apple cider vinager (get organic), 1 tlbs honey, and 2 tbls water.

A simple fix is just hot honey and lemon water.

If you want to get complex steep onion slivers, lemon juice, honey, ginger (optional), 1 tbs apple vinager per 2 cups water. It should be goopy after boiling and cooling off, but if it's not dont freak out, not everyone gets it on the first try and you can still take it. It sucks taste wise, but helps us out a lot.
