HPV Vaccine

Alright, so at 13 my doctor told me I needed to take the HPV series, but my mom refuses to let me because it is sexually contracted and she specifically said "I would not be having sex, so I didn't need to worry about that."
Alright, well now I'm almost 20, and transferring to a university and I need the HPV series (3 shots). My question is: do I get all three shots in one visit or do I have to get them over the course of days/months/year(s)?
