Waited longer, started earlier?

Question

Do you wish you waited longer to have kids, started earlier, or did you do it at just the right time? (If you don't have kids or are not expecting, choose the fourth voting option.)

My parents hounded me last year when I turned 25 "we had you AND your brother by this age" yada yada yada. I'm so glad I waited and bere is why:

When I was 23 (like my parents)-
Career: barely our of college, newbie at my job
Finances: due to being fresh outta college I made squat (35,000 a year just ain't gonna cut it)
Husband's career: student (he made 14,000 that year working part time)
Total income: 49,000 barely enough to live off of, much less have a child

Today at 26-
Career: nearly three years experience and making 55,000
Husband's Career: 60,000
Total income: 115,000

It's WORTH waiting. We've vacationed, purchased a home, built up savings, started retirement savings and established ourselves as a couple. We couldn't have done all that if we would have had a child any earlier.

I wish I would have waited longer with my first as I was 17 when I had him but I wish I had started earlie for my second. My son is 8 now and I wish he had a sibling. I feel like he is lonely sometimes and he doesn't always want to play with his mom lol.

Wish I started earlier, I'm 31 (in jan) and had I known it would take more than a year and a half I have lived more dangerously with my husband all this time. Still praying for baby #1
