I missed a BC pill, what to expect?

I am visiting family in my hometown for a day and I forgot to pack my BC. So I will miss a pill completed and be late on the next one the next day. What should I expect today because I missed it? Will I get my period (I'm at the end of my 21 day pack, so I would've had my period if I had placebos but I don't, because I'm only supposed to have it every four months). What should I expect?

So you are onto the placebos right now? If so it doesn't matter if you take them or not. Your period will still show. The placebos are not medicated and have no affect on your body.

If you're on placebos you will still get it. I always skipped placebos since it's just a reminder pill, it doesn't give you your period.

Probably nothing. I've missed a day here or there. Normally, the directions say if you miss a day, then take two the next day, but read the directions for your specific birth control.

Did you miss it today? Then take two tomorrow (unless otherwise specifies for your BC pill). When it comes to protection you should be fine because the hormone levels won't drastically drop just because of one day.
