Husband just always so serious/in a bad mood

Needed gas to bring our son to an appointment today. I asked him last night and he told me to talk to him later cause he had to do something important. I woke up at like 3am and realized we didn't talk about the gas again. I got up and wrote him a note so he would see it before work
I'm supposed to go outside at 3am and see if he went and put gas while I was sleeping? K......
