When did you share the pregnancy news with your family?

pregnancy news with your family?" /> Just found out we are pregnant and not sure whether or not to share the news with our family on Christmas or wait till further along...

I guess it depends on if it's yor first pregnancy, any health issues, etc. 
my first reaction is to tell everyone right away, but maybe after your first doctors appointment would be better?

I told my mom about a week after I found out and it was only because I needed one of those pep talks only a mother could give. We told the rest of the world after my first ultrasound at 10 weeks. Everyone was (and still is) unbelieveably happy.

I did mines right away and I kinda regret it. I was 18 at the time and my grandmother and uncle's was very angry with me and it cause me to stress and I sadly had a MC. I said the next time I get pregnant I would wait till I'm out my first trimester to tell anyone.

Parents and adult siblings we told right away. Immediate family like aunts and grandparents we told at just short of 6 weeks at Thanksgiving. We've told a few select friends since then. We'll tell the world after 12 weeks.

I told my mom within a couple weeks of finding out. She said "Dear God, tell me you didn't plan this." So... yeah it was nice. I'm afraid to ever get pregnant again or get engaged or anything because no one would be happy for me.

I'm in the same boat, I'll be a little over 8wk when I see my family near the holidays. My problem is that the Ob doesn't want to see me until after New Years, but I thought you can be seen for your first visit any time after 8wk??

Yeah it's our first pregnancy but we had an early miscarriage in May so I do kinda wanna wait until after our first dr apt. Just so tempting to share the news early on Christmas though! Not sure if that's the best idea or not...

I was like 2 and a half months when my mother knew  and 4 before she told extended family. His family knew at 6 months
