Is this defective?

So I bought these two tests yesterday and  took one this morning and it already had been showing the negative line before I even took it. So I looked at the other one in the box and it has the same thing are these tests defective because I took the first one and it gave me a negative.

If it was showing a negative before you put the wand in urine then yes they are defective. There's a number on them that you can call and let them know that you got some defective tests. They might send you more.

Okay thank you and yes they both show the line I don't even have to show them in the light I just showed the one in the picture in the light because it helped my camera focus

Okay. These are one step but I'll take this other one in a few days and see what it says then I'll get more. I'm a week passed ovulation and I've been feeling a lot of pregnancy signs. Period in another week

If you shine them to the light they usually look that way it's just an indent. But I would go with first response they are really the most reliable
