False positive

I had brown spotting for a day. That night took a wondfo test it was a faint positive didn't believe it so took another one. Faint positive again. Then next morning still spotting brown except by afternoon it turned to a light period now it's medium flow.. I'm gutted I have been trying for 3yrs and now it's gone.
