I feel like I'm going to bleed to death.
So I was started on metformin a month ago for a recent diagnosis of diabetes. Up until now I only had a period MAYBE once a year. Half a day of spotting at most. My doctor thinks I may have PCOS and said the metformin would help treat it. Apparently that means it's going to trigger the worst menstruation I've ever had. I've gone through 11 super plus tampons today. I've ruined 3 pairs of underwear, one pair of sheets and nearly demolished our brand new bed. Midol is useless but thank god for Aleve. Just absolutely miserable. I'm 30 now and I'm seriously going to see what I can do to just stop it altogether. Hubby and I are child free and plan to stay that way. I know it's going to be difficult to find a willing doc due to age and stuff but I really don't want to put up with this. Okay... done whining. Does anyone else feel like they bleed an insane amount?
