A Tiger Mom is usually defined as a mother who is overly strict with her child in order to foster an academically competitive spirit. This form of upbringing is intended to direct a child towards financially successful careers at the potential risk of feeling emotionally unfulfilled and/or socially inept.
An Elephant mom is usually defined as a very nurturing mother, who lets their child co-sleep, never yells or scolds. They usually help feed and dress their kid until they are 4 or 5 years old or older.
