When can I test?!

If my cycle is 54 days on average and I think that I ovulated a week ago (cycle day 32). When is the earliest I could test!? Can I try at the end of the week or do I have to wait until end of December when I have my period?!

The thing about testing is this (and I say this because I was just at a fertility consult today): it really doesn't have to do with your period so much as DPO. Because many women vary on their luteal phase... Yes it's generally 14 days but some are shorter, like mine. So you're trying to target the time after implantation has happened because that is when your hormone levels will start to rise. Some women get positives 8 DPO, some won't until 14 or even longer. Every woman's body is different... And some women never get a positive urine pregnancy test! I hope this helps even a little...

Typically you should get your period about 14 days after you ovulate and that would be the best time to test.
