Month 3- Angry Metformin
Was diagnosed officially with pcos at the end of September and started this journey the first of October. I was first put on phentermine and a high protein diet. The first month went so well. I lost 12.8 lbs. Then during my second month my dietitian changed my diet to basically have me eat more calories and eating separate meals, because I usually just ate 1 time a day and only ate between 1000-1400 calories. Well, obviously my body needs time to adjust to the new diet. I ended up gaining 1lb during the second month. So my doctor added 1500 of Metformin to my regimen. I have been on the Metformin for a few days and I feel like crap. I have been angry and aggressive, nauseous, diarrhea, vomiting, sooo tired, and I've had a headache since the first pill. I feel like crap. Is this normal for the first few days? Will my body adjust or do I need to contact my doctor? Anyone else have this issue while taking Metformin? Or could these effects be from the combination of Metformin and phentermine?
