Genetic testing -yay or nay?

Hi, hoping for some input?

​I am almost 9w and had a previous miscarriage around 10w. Looks like docs are too busy to see me until I'll be 12-13w so they said over the phone if I want genetic blood test to get referral and do it b4 my visit.

​I don't know much about the test and it's accuracy... Etc Would you get it done?

​I know I won't do any invasive testing to harm baby and I'm not sure what I'd even do if test came back positive?

​Is it better to know or not?

We are getting it done. I'm having twins so it was recommended. But I probably would have gotten it done anyway. I mean it's blood work & and an ultrasound. Why not?

Testing can help recognize some life threatening disorders, i decided on the 2 part blood test. Its easy enough and i feel like its one more thing i can do to make sure this baby has the best future

We got the scan and blood test done. I knew we would be low risk anyway but I like to be prepared.

I didn't with my first and I'm not doing it with my second. It won't change my mind about anything. It's completely up to you though. Don't let anyone pressure you otherwise.

I did it mostly just for the ultrasound portion because we weren't going to see baby until 19 weeks lol. But the whole process was super easy, and actually fun, we saw the baby, the tech did all anatomy and saw everything looked great and gave us a 80% chance it's a girl! Plus we got our results at the appt and everything came back great. It was awesome for piece of mind and no harm to baby. Good way to prepare if needed

I decided I wanted to know so I could be prepared. It wouldn't have changed our decision to carry to term, but with some conditions baby's outcome can be improved if care providers know about it before the birth. I had the Panorama test.
