Keeping a potential pregnancy a secret..?

Okay, so... My yearly pap this year, oddly enough is scheduled right at the end of my TWw.

For whatever reason, my mom has decided that she would like to come along for this appointment.......

I'm 25, married , don't live with her.. and not on her insurance.

My husband and I haven't told that we are TTC, because it's apparently a lot harder than we thought it was going to be. (8 months and nothing but BFN's).

Since I could possibly find out that I'm pregnant at this appointment, how do I keep my excitement under wraps (if the test is positive.)?

My husband and I agree on not announcing until I am about 13-15 weeks pregnant, if it ever happens.

I told my mom that she doesn't have to come, yet she insists.

I know what it's like to have a pushy mom.

If she wants to come, and she is really insistent. Tell her that you would be more comfortable with her just in the waiting room.

That you appreciate her support, but you don't need her in the room while your cervix is being scraped.

I agree with Ashley Asking her to wait in the waiting room is probably the best bet Are you going to ask them to take a pregnancy test while you're there I had my yearly exam shortly after my TWW and my doctor had no idea (we didn't either) Although I was a few days late she didn't ask about it or anything

Maybe call the office before and inform them not to say anything and maybe just give you a call afterwards to confirm?!

if you're trying to keep it a secret from your mom just make up something like you rescheduled the appointment  to another day because of whatever reason ? baby dust to you ?
